You’re watching the Economic Calendar for Monday. Here’s a rundown of the most important news releases.
Japanese markets will be closed on Monday as Marine Day is observed.
The first item on the schedule actually comes at 10:45 the previous evening, when the second quarter New Zealand Consumer Price Index is released. The annual inflation grew by point 3 percentage points as higher housing prices reversed a drop in petrol prices.
UK Rightmove House Price Index for July comes at 11:01. The asking home prices continued growing in June, and at a faster pace than the point 4% gain the previous month.
There’s little on the schedule until 2 PM GMT, when US NAHB Housing Market Index for July is released. The Index surprised on the upside in June, rising to its highest level in 5 months.
And Reserve Bank of Australia will release the minutes of its July meeting at 1:30 PM. The meeting brought no changes to the monetary policy.
