You’re watching the Economic Calendar for Monday, the 19th of September. Here’s a rundown of the most important news releases.
Japanese markets will be closed on Monday as the Respect for the Aged Day is observed, but the schedule actually starts a bit before midnight as the UK Rightmove House Price Index for September is released at 11:01 PM. The Index has been declining since July, following 6 months of growth.
US NAHB Housing Market Index for September follows at 2 PM GMT. The Index recovered in August, having slipped to 58 points the previous month.
Reserve Bank of Australia will release the closely watched Minutes of its September meeting at 1:30 AM. The meeting brought no changes to the monetary policy, but traders will scrutinise the Minutes for any hints on the future course of actions.
And Australian Second Quarter House Price Index comes at the same time. The first quarter data came in weaker than expected, offsetting a point 2% gain the previous month.
