First, let’s look at the Euro/Dollar, which has the average long-time spread of point 28 pips. The daily max of 1.1 pips was reached within the last 4 hours.
This pair has had a slow start of the week, and the biggest move was a gain of point 31% or 34 pips.
The German PMI was out at half past 7 this morning, and spreads peaked at 1.1 pips just as the data came out.
The Cable’s long-term average and peak spreads stand at more than 1 pip and 1.9 pips, respectively.
Pound/Dollar has seen some upward movement this morning, gaining point 53% or 65 pips from its lowest point at 1 2185.
Spreads were at their highest after 11:06 yesterday evening, but they did not exceed just 1.9 pips.
And Dollar/Yen’s long-term average reaches point 41 pips, peaking at point 9 pips.
There has been little movement for this pair, as the daily volatility of 28 pips was posted during a decline of point 27%.
Trading has been calm, and the peak spread of point 9 pips was posted one minute past midnight.
