The trading week may be coming to an end, but stay alert and keep checking your price feed with the Main Spike Controller.
Euro/Dollar’s spreads have averaged at point 28 pips over the last 24 hours, maxing out at 1.7 pips.
The pair started moving up after 6 o’clock yesterday, gaining point 4% or 44 pips.
Bank of Japan released its monetary policy statement at 3:44 this morning, and the overall market volatility hit this pair as well, but 1.7 pips is the most you should’ve seen.
Pound/Dollar’s long-term average reaches 1.4 pips, whereas the daily peak stands at 7.4 pips.
The Cable had a bullish afternoon yesterday as it went up by point 77% or 101 pips, but the subsequent movement was more bearish.
Once again, Bank of Japan managed to shake up the spreads for this pair as well, but 7.4 pips is as high as they went.
And Dollar/Yen’s long-term average spread stands at point 92 pips, but it has seen plenty of volatility as its daily peak reaches a very notable 20.7 pips.
The pair surged to its daily high of 105 65 this morning, only to plummet by no less than 2.79% or 295 pips.
You would expect the Bank of Japan has had some effect on this pair as well.
And indeed, spreads did peak ahead of the release at 3:17, but make sure your broker has not inflated the spread above 20.7 pips.
